Abstract EN

This article is an attempt to point the domestic violence as a hidden phenomenon, which is identified by cultural determinants in a way that is transformed to an excellent social taboo due to the cultural specificity of Algerian family and the consideration of violence that happens inside it as an intimate cause that can’t be raised or discussed.

Perhaps the most dangerous status is when violence is practiced on children, which reflects the weakness, if not total inability, to achieve a familial socio-legal protection and security for the child victim of violence.
