Abstract EN

TUKHARISTAN One of the cities on the upper reaches of the river Gihon (Amodaria), the current province (Tukhar) in Afghanistan, its strategic location was of great importance reflected on its political, social and economic aspects.

It is assumed that the city witnessed several conflicts and political events before and after the Islamic conquest.

These conflicts and events were reflected in their social aspects, in which we focused on the population elements of the city of Tukharistan, and its religious and contractual diversity as a model of the social life of the population, casting a shadow on the development and diversity of its economic activity.

The research required that we follow the analytical investigative methodology of the historical texts of the city of Tukharistan to reach the desired.

The research included the conditions of the political city of Tukharistan before the Islamic conquest, the political situation of the city of Tukharistan after the Islamic conquest until the end of (132 AH / 749 AD), and the social composition of the population in the city of Tukharistan and includes first: the population elements of the city of Tukharistan, and secondly: religions, religious beliefs The economic activity in the city of Tukharistan and its impact on the standard of living of the population.
