Abstract EN

The problem of drought is one of the most important studies, especially with the increasing demand and competition for water resources.

Water is a vital element in the existence of the living environment.

The geographers have taken great interest in these studies by studying the concepts of water budget, desertification, drought and the actual value of rainfall.

The quantities of excess water deficit and its effects on human activities and environment, and then develop appropriate solutions to reduce those effects and ways to make the most of the surplus water if any.

This research includes two main dimensions identified by the researcher in two terms according to descriptive analytical approach.

The first part of the study included the climatic characteristics of Dhi Qar Governorate.

The researcher presented the main features of the climatic elements (solar radiation, temperature, wind, humidity, rain and evaporation) according to the latest climatic and climatic data.

The researcher in the second part of the study was able to apply an experimental and practical methods and equations within the climate of the Provence, then he was able to reach the result ( the value of the drought, the amount of the evaporation and the climate water deficit in the province )
