Abstract EN

The development helped in information and communication technology as well as transportations in order to increase communication among different people with different orientations of civilization by that it surpassing all the political, cultural and geographical limits, Where the effects of this technology appear and in particular it appears on the social network through the number of the participants, which increased progressively as an advanced forms of communication which allows large areas of freedom in the exchange of information, where the youth have important and active role in raising the profile of social networking sites through the wide demand to use it to contact and communicate with users.

Facebook site is a sample of social networking, that played an important role in the social changing, political changing and economical changing through network that could be expanded infinitely to provide the opportunities for unrestricted communication and to provide a field of activity among the different cultures and to offer a new form of communication and it is one of the landmarks of New Media, which was the result of progress communication.

The communication function provided by the site Facebook is to connect members of the community easy to use electronic system enables the user to connect, communicate and make new friends may be impossible in the traditional means of communication for its lack of a constant communication and other elements which was one of the characteristics of the era of social networking.

This study aims through this development in the communications field to identify the function of communication which the social networking site (Facebook) does it.
