Abstract EN

Allah, Glory Be to Him, sent his messenger Mohammed, PBUH, to all mankind, to convey to them glad tidings and to warn them of what will come.

And to make it a universal message, the prophet, PBUH, broadened the scope of his Call, going beyond the borders of the Arabian Peninsula.

So, after the Agreement of Al-Hudaibiyya, he sent his letters of invitation and messengers to the kings and princes of his age, inviting them to embrace Islam, among them was Hercules, the Byzantine Emperor, who had a great empire at that time, and was at the peak of his glory after his victory over Kisra, the Persian king.

Hercules’s power of mind, intelligence and thoughtfulness appeared in his stance with the message as he didn’t rush to accept or reject the message; rather he verified and made sure of the truth of the prophet by asking Abu Sufian, who was staying in his country for trade.

They had a long dialogue, in which he detected, through posing some questions, the aspects of the prophet’s life, his state, character, manners, and the subject of his Call, the number of his followers, their qualities and how far they adhere to this Call.

Through that dialogue, there are several lessons related to the preacher, those invited and the Call, I wanted to clarify them in this thesis, as they are greatly important in the field of calling to Allah.
