Abstract EN

The aims of this study were threefold: first; identifying the extent of clarity of the concept of transparency at the management of Banha University Libraries.

Second; the extent to which workers in those libraries practice transparency in administrative work, and finally, the relationship of such practices to the effectiveness of administrative communication in the university libraries.

The study was administered in the first term of the academic year 2019/2020, and the most important results reached were as follows: there is a strong correlation between the effectiveness of administrative communication in the Banha University libraries and the internal and external transparency where there is a statistically significant relationship at the level of 0.05 and thus there appeared to be a relationship between transparency in general and the effectiveness of administrative communication at the same level of statistical significance.

This indicates that the university library management operates under an administrative system that enjoys a high degree of administrative transparency.
