Abstract EN

The family is regarded as the main constituent in the fortified Muslim society building.

And the woman is its basis for her endless contributions and sacrifice; as preserving the religious and ethical values.

Her good education reflects the children education while her ignorance leads to the family and society deterioration.

During the colonial period, Algerian women had a special status between the Algerians’ beliefs and the call for their education as an active component of the society construction.

Sheikh Ibn Badis noted that women are the basis for the advancement and liberation of any society.

Thus, their education is so crucial in order to play a positive role in preserving the Algerian identity and personality, fighting the French policy of exaggeration.

Accordingly, Sheikh Ibn Badis stressed the need and necessity ofConsequently, Sheikh Ben Badis focused a lot on the importance of women education and formation at different levels: religious, cultural, ethical to ensure their positive and influential interaction in building the Algerian family, which is conservative, adhering to its standards of identity.

Hence, he prepared a special program based on non-mixing and protection.
