Abstract EN

The meeting of tangier was preceded by different historical events.

The general state in the Maghreb, especially the political one, was instable and there were many troubles in the three countries.

All that was as a result of the colonialist policy and his ambitions in the region.

Historical, political and even economic reasons lead to the organization of the meeting.

Meetings and conferences were multiplied to encourage unity and to help the Algerian revolution for freedom.

It also ensures the solidarity between Maghreb countries and stand in the way of the colonial practices such as the hijacking of the five leaders of the Algerian revolution and the isolation of the Algerian Sahara.

Moreover, the invitation to organize this meeting was also due to regional and Arab conditions like the incident of the bombing of sakiat sidi youssef by the French colonial authorities where the Algerian and Tunisian blood was mixed.

This event was disapproved and condemned by the Moroccan population and gave them more determination to organize the meeting and realize the Maghreb unity.

In addition to that the Egyptian and Syrian unity encouraged the organization of the meeting and that was evident through the great interest and concern of the Maghrebian parties in the obligation of building a united and strong Arab Maghreb.
