La historiografía y africanismo español del XIX

Abstract EN

In this short article that is part of our doctoral thesis, we try to show the situation of Africanism and Spanish historiography throughout the nineteenth century (XIX).

The Africanists used it in the franco' s ruling in the XX century as an instrument to claim their possessions in North Africa and to get closer to the Arab word.

They taked the work of the africanist Jouaquin Costa as a good work to realised their book.

This article is a good opportunity to show the image of Morocco in the africanism of the XIX century.
