Abstract EN

The weakness of the Ottoman Empire as a result of the interconnection of European countries led to whatis the so-called Eastern issue at the beginning of the 19th century.

The Algerian- European relations in the Western Mediterranean were compared to the so-called Western issue.

Algeria's relations with Europe were bad during most of the Ottoman Empire, and this is because of the crusade led by Spain and the maritime jihad movement led by Algeria.

This is what the Europeans call the piracy of injustice.

European countries gathered their forces and joined forces to force Algeria to stop its ships, The British and Dutch navy attacked the Algerian fleet in 1816.

The coast of Algeria became exposed to enemy attacks and its fall in 1830 under the French occupation.
