The problem of language and image taking in the story of Hansel and Gretel for the third year primary school students.

Summary: The story is concidered one of the eliquette that arouses the child's interest and curiosity, and the reason of this is due to the process of mixing between the image and the language in it, which leads to a difference in how the child is attracted to the illustrated story as well as how it is received.

So, will this blending process help the child to understand the picture better and better or not? .

The illustrated stories are among the most interesting and attractive literature for the child's attention, and they are known as stories accompanied by pictures aimed at clarifying and highlighting the story's characters and its events and bringing it closer to the recipient.

In our research, we discussed how to recieve the picture story Hansel and Gretel by the third year primary students, with the help of distibuting questionnaires to them.

We came to the conclusion that the pictures and drawings attached to the story directed to the child play an important role in the learning process, as the students were able to read the images attached to the proposed story and understand its content without effort, as they responded to the content of the images and the text together, and by this, we require the effectivness of pictures and illustrations in the student's reading of the storiesdirected to him and his interaction with them.
