Abstract EN

This research seeks to define the concept of the speaker in the thought of the Russian critic Mikhail Bakhtin, who contributed in the development of literary and linguistic studies, which led to the change of some concepts in dealing with literary texts, so we followed the concept of the locuteur in the writings of Bakhtin and monitored the relationship Between it and the concept of dialogism and polyphony, we also tried to explore the various images and forms in which the locuteur appears in the novelist discourse.

This research has come out with a number of results, including that the images of the speaker are numerous and varied in the literary discourse and that multiple voices and that the language of the speaker is what makes the uniqueness of the novelist discourse
