The cultural structure of any human society is determined by a number of social and cultural determinants, which in its entirety constitute the rules of its cultural identity, and the value it entails from a value-based and customary system agreed upon by the members of society.

The popular culture is one of the most important components of the value and social construction of society, and the material and non-material compounds that are in essence the memory and the common collective present of individuals and groups.

In this paper, we will attempt to present a comprehensive account of the main elements and components of the popular culture of the Tunisian society as part of the cultural heritage of the Algerian society, and then their role in establishing the cultural identity of the community first and in achieving the social development of its members.
