Poetic is one of the critical terms that occupied arab scholars and critics, as it relates primarily to poetry, which is the workmanship of the arab and the record of his history and experiences.

This study attempts to reveal the concept of poetry and its mechanisms in Arab critical heritage, and link them to the modern concept of Arab critics, as it stands at the specificity of Arab poetry which it acquires from the personality of the Arab and his environment in the past and present as well, all of this by relying on the criteria of poetry established by ancient and contemporary critics.
