Through this article, we tried to know the implicit dimensions of epidemic representations in Amazigh cinematographic discourse, in particular in the film The “ Forgotten Hill ” directed by Abderrahmane Bouguermouh, because of its effective role in the cinematographic codification of the implications of the typhus epidemic on Algerian society during the period of French occupation, It is an epidemic which decimated the entire population, which made it suffer both: the injustice of French colonialism, and the tragedy of the famine and an epidemic that afflicted the community and claimed many lives.

In this study, we focused on the effectiveness of cinematic discourse with all of its expressive elements and deep implications for the history of the social event.

For this, and to decipher its symbolism, we relied on the semio-anthropological analysis of a sample of extracts from the film, which is an analytical approach that allows us to approach cinematographic discourse in its historical and anthropological context, Both for its confidence in the methodological and procedural complementarity of semiology and anthropology.
