Abstract EN

The objective of the research is to highlight ecotourism as a modern form of tourism that is attracting increasing numbers of tourists, due to the growing global awareness of the importance of the natural environment, and the need to preserve it.

It also aims to demonstrate the important role that ecotourism can play in protected natural areas in general and national parks in particular in promoting sustainable tourism.

Finally, we presented the reality of the exploitation of Algerian national parks in the field of ecotourism, and the most important requirements for the promotion of this type of tourism in Algeria, in order to achieve a sustainable tourism preserving these important natural resources.

One of the most prominent results is the great weakness in the exploitation of the Algerian national parks to promote ecotourism and sustainable tourism, despite their size, diversity and richness, and this is the result of many reasons and factors presented in this research.

We also made a number of suggestions and recommendations that can promote this type of tourism in algeria.
