Abstract EN

The adoption of any economic policy aims to reduce unemployment would have to relay on a certain theory, above all else.

That policy should serve to accurately explain the growing unemployment, as a phenomenon, in order to get better diagnose for its causes, as well as to suggest possible remedies.

This study undertook these deals with this phenomenon that has diagnosed in the Algerian society within an economic analysis, and went ahead to quantify its relations with other economic variables using an econometric approach.

Therefore, it adopts a specific linear model in which a number of mathematical relations act between economic variables assumed by a previous study, and for a period of time extending to forty-one years (1975-2015).

The results of the econometric estimation obtained by the current study suggests new alternative strategies, in order to reduce the exacerbation of unemployment rates and predictability of future trends.

The results of the analysis also suggest other complementary treatments in this regard as well.
