Abstract EN

Electronic monitoring system is an important development in the modernization of the criminal justice system.

It is a measure to strengthen the judicial control of the accused, as well as an alternative measure of punishment for convicts.

It supports the conduct of judicial control procedures during the judicial investigation period, and is an alternative procedure to the sentences handed down where the convicted person is allowed to serve all or part of the sentence outside the penitentiary institution.

This paper discusses this new system in terms of strengthening judicial control on the one hand and an alternative measure of punishment on the other.
