Abstract EN

Among positive impacts of direct foreign investment influxes on the hosting state are ways of easing incomes substitution policy through raising amounts and quality levels of products that are not manufactured locally instead of foreign products to improve trade balanceaccounts.

To approve this fact or not, this research paper aims at acknowledging the nature and kind of the relation between foreign direct investment in Algeria and importation goods amounts.

This research's hypothesis has been confirmed.

Therefore, the main recommendation is that the success of the Algerian economy depends upon adopting incomes substitution strategy, especially in cases such as oil prices crash during the second semester of the year 2014.

A balanced commercial opening has to be activated in all economic sectors.
