In this study, we have addressed the subject sovereign green sukuk as an innovative Islamic financial tool interested to the green responsible infrastructure projects in order to back the huge financing need to combat the climate change.

We tried to highlight the role of Indonesian government in promoting the renewable energy projects as a means to enable sustainable development at a global scale through the use of a new mechanism to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the current climate change spending budget that complies with Islamic principles
