Abstract EN

This study aims to measure the efficiency of the insurance companies in the Algerian insurance market during the year 2015.

using the method of data envelopment analysis using , constant returns to scale CRS and Variable Volume Returns (VRS), where the capital variables and operational expenses were taken as inputs ,The study came to the conclusion that within of 11 insurance companies, 5 companies achieved technical efficiency in the light of fixed size returns while under of the variable size returns, the number rose to 8 companies, which is acceptable.while three companies didn’t achieve technical efficiency , Where we gave it a range of suggestions to improve her efficiency.
