This research paper highlights the reality of the WAQF sector in Algeria and the possibility of activating its developmental role Through the use of funds allocated to its institutions and investment in accordance with the financing types offered by Islamic banks, As well as the type of funding with Private equity, as this type of funding suffers from its institutions in Algeria from the problems of limited financial resources, Which has lost the ability to achieve economic growth
