Abstract EN

This study aims to provide an introduction to the American School and one of its prominent figures named Michael Riffaterre whose studies contributed to the development of stylistic studies.

It further aims to shed light on the role played by the structural stylistic approach and the influence of Riffaterre over other Arab and Western critics.

The study concluded with the most significant findings.

To this aim, the researcher has employed an analytical descriptive approach; and cast light on the outstanding turns in stylistic studies.

The researcher further analyzed the character of 'Michael Riffaterre' thru rendering the latter researchable and explorable to reach out to his fundamental principles and highlight his exceptional privacy in terms of stylistic intellectual thru inducing particles to have a panoramic view.
