In the last quarter of the last century, the environmental management has witnessed a wide development, which can be observed through environmental laws and regulations due to the increase in toxic emissions and waste from the industrial sector.

This has led to increased interest for technology.

It has been discovered the cleaner production technology as a modern technology that allows waste reduction and increases the competitiveness of the enterprise as well as enhancing its productivity.

With the beginning of the third millennium, Algeria has known several developments for the adoption of cleaner production technology in order to revive the industrial sector by providing more sustainable and less harmful products to the environment.
