The character of Mustafa Said, the protagonist of the novel "Migration Season to the North" by the Sudanese novelist Tayeb Saleh, is a real critical issue in the events of the novel, because his protagonist knew a typical artistic construction and grew exponentially through the representations of a linear movement in the novel, from zero and began to rise until it reached the climax of the narration, then returned back to the first beginnings; from a student at a school of a deprived village in Sudan until he became a respected professor in a great British university after having passed by the Cairo and then returning home to die drowning in the Nile River in mysterious circumstances.

This narrative poses two problematic questions: Did Mustafa Said die as a punishment for quitting the cultural and social context to which he belongs or the novelist buried him out of sunlight purposefully to liberate him? .

The protagonist of the novel "Migration Season to the North" died with his secret despite the claims of his character.

In this study, we try to gather and figure out the fragments of the implicit picture and try to reconsruct the picture of Mustafa Said, get closer to his person to find out the reasons behind such a tragic ending.

Whatever the approach we seek, the novel in our estimation is a sensitive moment of intersection between two contradictory cultural systems: the West with its fierce material rationality and the Orient with its peaceful spirituality.
