The issue of the independence of Sudan has passed through periods and steps of self-government, but the conflict has intensified over the self-determination of various negotiating ways to achieve autonomy, which faced many obstacles, including the issue of Sudanization and the issue of the South, which led to the divergence and different positions of the Sudanese on the idea of governance However, access to independence was in the midst of the conflict between the advocates of the union with Egyp t and the Sudanese independence trend, as the 1953 elections in Sudan were the first elections for the autonomy and transitional government for the independence phase, as we recorded the intervention of the two countries in the elections to win the results of its candidate Egypt and the English continued to woo and win over the new Sudanese government, creating internal problems, most notably the crisis in South Sudan, and finally Sudan's independence on January 1, 1956.
