Abstract EN

The Kutãma territory Located in the region between Sétif, Mila and Jijel on the western limits of Ifriqiya ; has underwent significant evolutions after the Umayyad conquests of the region.

The research problem revolves around studying the opposition movement within the Kutãma tribes against the Ismailism, through reference to the book :Kita-b iftita-h .

al-da‘wa wa ibtida-’ al-dawla by al-Qadi al-Nu'man And this is through a different reading to what is prevalent in studies that concerned only the role of Kutãma in establishing the Fatimid state, Without scrutinizing the conflicts that took place between these tribes before the pro-Shi'a project won.

The careful reading of the source texts reveals that active parties inside Kutãma have faced this da’wa, but they have not been able to stop it.
