Since the first show of “Lumière-Melie” films, which showed to the world the potential of cinema, France has not hesitated to support its imperialist policy in Algeria by using the pictures to pave the way for its settlement projects, starting with films showing Algerians as strangers, passing by the satirical films to the documentary films.

The subject of colonial cinematography was the misrepresentation of facts, Historical, social and cultural character of the Algerian community in a stereotyped manner.
