Teaching Qur’an is one of the most famous jobs and professions occupations in Muslim societies.

The concern for Quranic teaching was not for the seek of virtue, but for many purposes, among which self-affirmation, preserving language, identity and others.

The experiences of Quranic education differ in the Muslim countries, moreover, we can find varied experiences in the same country.

Even If they agreed on the subject, the methods, the means and results are different.

Algerian society has always been very appreciative of Quranic education and has used various means to serve it.

The Department of Adrar, one of the southern departments in the south of Algeria, is a pioneer in Quranic education with regard to three indicators: 1 - the widespread of Qur’anic schools gathering not only local learners but also from the neighbouring African countries.

2 - Abundance in the teachers of the Qur’an both under the state regime and private.
