Abstract EN

This paper focused on the practice of citizenship in the Egyptian society, whether it is active citizenship, or withdrawal citizenship in the light of multiple concepts, such as rights, duties, justice, equality and the attitude of Egyptians towards national citizenship versus cosmic citizenship.

The social survey approach was used in the study and applied through a broad sample of 1,387 informants.

The study used the questionnaire as a key tool, and an interview as an aid tool, to ensure systematic pluralism in research tools and methods of analysis.

The field research revealed patterns of citizenship called withdrawal citizenship, as well as some negative practices of citizenship that make the practices of citizenship in the Egyptian society lack many forms of effectiveness and activity and move towards the negative and withdrawal trends.
