Abstract EN

The issue of the contemporary rhetorical terminology is at the forefront of contemporary research concerns, particularly the problematic of the receptivity of the argumentative concept in the contemporary Arabic rhetoric.

The concept of argumentation itself has always been a fuzzy one; it has been challenged from different quarters, it can mean different things to people and therefore no clear consensus is reached on its receptivity.

This is due to several internal and external reasons that resulted in conflicting views about the eligibility of each party and the precedence in the adoption of the term.

This greatly contributed to the expansion of the circle of the terminological variance, in the ence of a clear and agreed on strategy to unify the argumentative concept.

Given the utmost methodological importance of this subject, we felt the dire need to examine it while trying to highlight the most significant argumentative terms.
