Abstract EN

This study is trying to identify the concept of 'Elision' and its account of the Arab language lesson it aims at differentiating elision from other concepts, including like ellipsis and shortening, with which it might be confused as far as language usage is concerned.

Also, it aims at reviewing identify the reasons leads the Arab speaker to use such a concept with reference to sounds, words and sentences So, this study is a means to identify the concept of 'elision' in language usage and why learners resume to this concept.
