Abstract EN

This article aims to study the treatment of the upcoming Algerian constitutional amendment in November 2020, the issue of subjecting regulations to the supervision of the Constitutional Court in a decisive way.

It became clear that the previous Algerian constitutions stipulated this issue in a vague manner, and the 2016 constitutional amendment added to its ambiguity and contradiction in its provisions.

However, the expected constitutional amendment in November 2020 resolved it with three priorities or imperatives: the first is the supremacy of the constitution, the second: centralization of oversight through a constitutional court, and the third: the explicit provision that regulations are subject to most types control over the constitutionality of laws.
