The basis of insurance is the individual's dependence on a joint balance or a set of funds made by a number of insured persons trough paying installments.

The insurance has become in all areas of life in order to face the dangers that threaten human being, and the states resorted to imposing it in certain areas in order to protect others from the damage caused by some harmful activities.

Thus, the legislation intervened to regulate the insurance operations carried out by the insurance companies.

The Algerian legislation approved the insurance system of various kinds to insure people against damages and responsibilities.
