Abstract EN

This scientific paper aims to highlight the role of media education in devoting the trend towards cognitive identity in Algerian society, first by highlighting the determinants of cognitive identity, and secondly, to address the transformations in the meaning of media education from a "defense project" that aims to protect only, by introducing skills to deal with All communication media, to introduce the sources of media content, its political, social, commercial and cultural goals and the context in which it appears, and includes critical analysis of media materials, the production of these materials and the interpretation of media messages and the values they contain.

To "Empowerment Project" aims to enable community members to gain an understanding of the communication media that is used in their community, and the way in which these methods operate, and then enable them to acquire skills in using the media to understand with others.

And it moves according to the ideology of this society, and therefore it is changing and renewed considering that the ideology of society is a changing concept, in the sense that it is determined according to the intellectual and cultural currents and political and cultural trends prevailing in society.
