Abstract EN

This study deals with aspects of the life of Sheikh Al-Tayeb Al-Oqbi One of the most important flags of Algeria, who left a big mark in the Islamic reform movement through his literary, advocacy, educational and journalistic activity, He had strong positions against heresies and roads, and called for unification, fighting polytheism and adhering to the principles of national character and deepening the Arab identity, He contributed to the promotion of cultural motivation and revival of Arabic and make it the language of rhetoric, dialogue and dealing.

His reformist activity was highlighted by his articles published in newspapers, both in Biskra and in Algiers, Its educational role and advocacy for the reform of society in mosques and free schools which it founded under the banner of the Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars, and his efforts to unify Algerians' attitudes and political positions towards the policy of naturalization and integration.
