Abstract EN
The aim of the research is to construct a proposed training program for the professional development of teachers of art education.
This has necessitated the achievement of a secondary objective of defining the standards for the professional development of art education teachers.
The researcher used descriptive analytical research methodology which seeks to determine the current situation of the studied phenomenon, which is the most suitable method to achieve the research objective.
The research community is one of the teachers of art education in the Directorate of Education of Rusafa III in Baghdad governorate, which numbered 405 teachers, Of the original community reached (100) teachers and teachers The researcher prepared a survey to determine the training needs of the teachers of art education.
The research tool was then prepared to identify the areas and criteria for the professional development of the teachers of art education, which were presented to specialists in the field of education, curriculum, psychology, educational techniques and artistic education.
From two main areas (11 sub-domains) and (88).
The results of the study showed that there is a training need for the teachers of art education on an ongoing basis for the purpose of communicating with modern educational developments in the field of teaching and modern technological means as well as communicating with the opinions, ideas, cultures and experiences of their fellow teachers.
The researcher suggested conducting several studies to complement this study: the effectiveness of the program for the proposed training in the development of vocational education teachers professionally
