Abstract EN

The study aimed at determining the level of self-confidence and its impact in alleviating the feeling of depression among a sample of recovered from addiction in Al-Amal Academy in Riyadh city.

The study used the descriptive method and it relied on the questionnaire in data collection, applying two questionnaires, one to measure the level of self-confidence, and the other to measure the level of feeling of depression.

The study population included all those recovering from addiction in Al- Amal Academy in Riyadh in 1438/1439 H, their number is (2000).

The sample of the study was (300) Of individuals recovered from addiction at Al-Amal Academy in Riyadh, representing 15% of the study population.

The results showed that the level of self-confidence is high and available to a large extent in most of the sample of the study, and the level of feeling of depression is low among most of the sample of the study.

There is a negative correlation between the self-confidence scale and the feeling of depression among the recovered
