The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Self-Table Strategy (K.W.L.H) in developing the environmental concepts among fifth graders by identifying the environmental concepts contained in the Ecosystems Unit of the Science Course, and to develop a suggested scenario using the self –table strategy (K.W.L.H) To achieve the objective of the research, the semi-experimental design of equal groups, which includes two equal groups, was followed by a control group consisting of (35) students who studied the unit of ecosystems in the usual way in schools and a pilot group consisting of (35)students Prepared in light of the KWLH Self-Scaling Strategy.

The research reached a number of results, the most prominent of which are: There was statistically significant difference at (α 0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group students in the post-application to test the environmental concepts for the benefit of the students of the experimental group.

67.11% of the improvement in the levels of environmental concepts among the students in the fifth grade in the experimental group in the post-application is due to the teaching of the unit of ecosystems with the strategy of self-table (K.W.L.H).

The study also recommended a number of recommendations, including: Teachers of science should be encouraged to adopt the KWL.H Self-Teaching Strategy in teaching because it enables students to use their skills to direct thinking and learning processes and to take personal responsibility for learning based on the principle of self-learning.
