Free time has become a problem that threatens societies, in which the presence of ample free time leads many young people to engage in fun and mess, sit in cafes or hang out on streets and roads, and this state of indifference develops their neglect, and may push them towards deviation and loss, as the English proverb says: "Satan finds work for idle hands to work." Free time may push many young people to get involved in some crimes, which cause them to lose the value of an important and decisive period of their life.

This period which is supposed to be a period of preparation and acquisition of experiences, knowledge, scientific, moral, professional and social formation for youth.

Verily, it is correlated with the standards of the progress and prosperity of nations, which is the good use of their free time.

This paper aims to identify this problem, and to provide some suggestions for converting free time that many people take for granted into a time devoted to practicing recreational activities that are compatible with their tastes, preferences , trends and their material and social capabilities.
