عدد التراجم المذكورة في هذا البحث خمس عشرة ترجمة، اتفق ابن حجر والعقيلي في الحكم على ترجمة واحدة، واختلفا في بقية التراجم، ولقد أصاب ابن حجر في حكمه على الرواة في جميع التراجم إلا في ترجمة واحدة، ثم إن العقيلي من المتعنتين في نقد الرجال؛ إذ ثبت أن أغلب الرجال الذين تكلم فيهم في هذا البحث ثقات، وجميع الأسباب التي استند إليها في ذكر هؤلاء الرواة في الضعفاء واهية، كما أنه يورد في ترجمة الراوي أحيانا حديثا منكرا ويكون الحمل فيه على من دونه في الإسناد، ومع هذا فهو أحد أئمة الجرح والتعديل المعتمدين، المطلعين على علل الحديث.
Abstract EN
The number of the biographies mentioned in the research is fifteen biographies.
ibn Hagar agreed with al`Uqayly on one biography out of fifteen.
ibn Hagar`s verdict concerning the narrators was fair except for only one narrator.
al`Uqayly, on the other hand, is tough on criticizing the narrators, since it`s been proven that most of the narrators whom he spoke of were reliable.
also, all the reasons he gave for his verdict were weak.
al`Uqayly often inserted Hadith Munkar (unknown hadith) in the biography of one narrator which he didn`t transmit and criticism is to be directed to the one beneath him in the chain of narrators.
nevertheless, al`Uqayly is one of the accredited imams of the science of impugnment and validation, well-acquainted with hidden defects of Ḥadith.
