Abstract EN

Asceticism in Islam is a way of life, taken by some people, which is based on reducing the pleasures of the world, and going to the seriousness of its affairs, thus achieving the freedom of man to rise above his desires and desires of his own volition, while at the same time being able to achieve those desires, and to walk behind these whims, but i have found many works in this field, so I did this research in the efforts of the scholars in asceticism and their writings to identify the efforts of the scholars in this field in an attempt to enrich the modern library.

it used the inductive analytical method based on extrapolation of ascetic books, as well as books of indexes and flags, men's books and literature on history, hadith books, commentaries and other books related to the subject of research.

in this research, the scientific method has been based on the rooting of texts from their original sources.

I divided the research into: introduction, two papers, and a conclusion.

the introduction includes: preface, and the reason for my choice of subject and method followed in this research, and previous studies, the first research: i did the work of defining ascetic language and terminology, and talking about asceticism and piousness, the truth of asceticism, and the virtues of asceticism and its fruit, its sections and fields, specifications of Zahid, the words of some scholars in asceticism, the months of Zahad, some verses and hadiths in ascees, the second topic: in which the works in the ancient ascetic "manuscript" have been achieved and printed, the works in the old ascetic "manuscript" unprinted or lost, some modern works printed in asceticism, I made a conclusion in which I explained: the most important results and recommendations I have reached through this research, I have done a work proven by references and sources, index of topics.
