Al-amali (dictations) is the plural form of imlaa (dictation) and not oumliya (dictation session).

The beginning of Hadith dictation was in the prophet`s era, then it continued until the early tenth century A.D.

however, it has sometimes been interrupted.

The writers of the Hadith dictation sessions have various approaches in their collections, in which they didn`t commit themselves to a certain arrangement, rather they narrated some Gharib (singular) Hadiths.

One session that had been well ascribed to one imam of Hadith, Abu Said Al-naqqash and its subject was the same as the subject of Al-amali.

In this session, he solely narrated two Hadiths, along with eighteen attributed Hadiths; one of which is Authentic, six are weak, three are very weak, Seven are fabricated, and one authentic Hadith that has weak parts of it.

Also, the session included some traditions; one weak tradition attributed to Ali, and one very weak tradition to ibn ouyaynah.

The dictation session ended with a tale about a wise man and a poetic anthem.
