Abstract EN

As a result of the developments in the field of business and the high degree of competition between private banks operating in the Iraqi banking sector, as well as strict procedures and controls that determine the banking business, the aim of the research to identify how to measure and determine the efficiency of banking work and associated risks using the ROE model, The problem of research on the use of the ROE model in achieving the efficiency of the banking of the two banks concerned and measuring the risks associated with efficiency.

The research community was selected banks represented by the Iraqi Investment Bank and Ashur International Investment.

It can be concerned with efficiency in the banking business through the use of a specimen and using his contributions to ROE, and came out with several recommendations the most important of the need to pursue diversification strategies in the investment portfolio and not only the sources of bank revenue, and to engage in new activities but not limited to borrowing and deposits.
