Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to identify the effect of the random excitement strategy in acquiring the historical concepts of the fifth grade students by verifying the null hypothesis.

There is no statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental group studying modern and contemporary history using the random excitement strategy and the average score of the control group students who study the same subject using the traditional method.

For the purpose of achieving the research objective, the researcher prepared the measuring tool, which is the test of acquisition of the historical concepts of the students (the research sample) consisting of (54 paragraphs) and verified its validity and stability.

In the light of the results of the research, the researcher recommends the use of modern strategies in teaching, including the strategy of random excitement in the teaching of contemporary European history and contemporary literature for the fifth grade.

In addition to the current study, The researcher has several proposals, including: Study the effect of random excitement strategy in other subjects and other study stages.
