For small and weak states, national sovereignty is facing a dangerous situation due to the new international changes imposed by the nature of globalization that have affected the concept of sovereignty and independence, but the state’s possession of material strength, its respect for human rights principles, and its application of democratic standards, eases the restrictions that may be imposed on sovereignty Patriotism stands in the face of attempts to dominate and interfere in its internal affairs under the pretext of protecting human rights and imposing the principles of democracy and the rotation of power, which prompted us in this study to discuss the concept of national sovereignty and to present the related problems.

And study the role of the military in protecting national sovereignty as an instrument of the state’s sovereignty, exercising its constitutionally mandated tasks of defending the country, preserving the country’s security and territorial integrity, protecting the rights and freedoms of individuals, and contributing to laying the foundations of a democratic civil authority in the country for the success of the process Democratic transformation and achieving political stability, in order to block the path to external interference in internal affairs and to .prejudice national sovereignty
