This research is concerned with presenting the most important sources of the study of the conventional thought in ancient Iraq.

The researcher first studied the economic activities practiced by the people of ancient Mesopotamia, before studying the sources of the old Iraqi economic thought, which were words and terms that belong to this aspect, Legends, economic texts, laws and ordinances, including decrees dealing with social and economic issues.
