Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the role of the family towards the development of citizenship values of the Arab child, and identify family practices to promote the values of citizenship among the Arab child, the descriptive survey method was used, and the research sample consisted of (741) parents of children in the Arab world.

In order to answer the study questions, the electronic questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting information, which consisted of two parts.

The results of the study showed that the sample of parents from the Arab world positive trends towards their roles in the development of citizenship values and are interested in doing practices that reflect these trends in practice, by introducing children to the symbols of the country such as science and the name of the capital, b.

In addition to the names of cities, national events, customs, traditions, historical figures and others, the practices related to the promotion of citizenship values came at a high level of importance, which indicates the interest of parents to reflect the values of citizenship and a reality in the dealings of children with all those around them, as shown by the results Parents' attitudes towards the development of citizenship values stem from a genuine sense of belonging to parents through their interest in demonstrating their sense of pride in belonging to an Arab homeland, and their agreement that their children live in this country for a lifetime.

Their responses almost confirmed the strength of belonging to their homelands, and their interest in not interrupting the bond and emotional bond between them, even if the circumstances forced them to leave them temporarily or permanently, by showing pride in them and planted in the hearts of their children.Based on these findings, the researcher made several recommendations, the most important of which are: - Emphasis on the essential role of the family in developing the values of citizenship among children by showing a sense of pride and belonging to the country in front of the children.

It is imperative to join forces with the school and the media, especially in light of the digital openness to the world and the impact of this on children, which increases the importance of this responsibility and the importance of cooperation to achieve its goals, and enable the Arab family of positive parenting practices to promote the values of citizenship of the Arab child, Efforts have fled and the exchange of experiences and effective practices in preserving the Arab heritage and Islamic civil society institutions in the Arab countries, with the exploitation of life situations in the family for the rights of duties and responsibilities that fall on the shoulders of its members and then their participation at the community level institutions for the advancement of society
