Imam Malik was considered one of the first imams of al-jarrah and al-Ta'idil (criticism and acceptability), who followed the method of investigation and accuracy in examining and selecting men, until the imams in this regard recognized him for the confidence of the narrators on whom he narrated.

however, the reader of the biographies of the men of al-Muwatta sometimes finds a weak narrator because of his bad memorization, obscenity of his mistake, or a deviation in his opinion.

the matter may be amplified when you find in the men of al-Muwatta some who are accused of lying such as Ikrimah, the slave of Abdullah bin Abbas, who was accused of lying and deviation of exiting.

this study included a brief biogoraphy of Imam Malik to find out his status among the hadith scholars, and a brief biogoraphy of Ikrimah for his knowledge in terms of integrity and discipline, according to the opinion of the imams of al-jarrah and al-Ta'idil (criticism and acceptability).
