This research attempts to examine the roles played by the written press in resisting French colonialism in the countries of the Maghreb, especially the Far Maghreb countries, and to monitor the most important developments witnessed in the written press, and how that press was able to confront the colonial press despite the limited means and restrictions imposed on the issuance of newspapers, as well as It tries to highlight the contributions of the partisan press in shaping national awareness and political maturity, and preserving cultural and Islamic identity, in light of the widespread spread of colonial newspapers.
